It draws on core patterns: connection to nature, the presence of natural light and air, sensory variation, organic materials, spatial harmony, refuge and prospect, and the subtle experience of movement, rhythm, and change over time. In my work, these principles are not applied as features, but as foundations.

Spaces that are not only visually considered, but felt — in the body, in the nervous system, in the way daily life unfolds within them.
Every element plays a role. Light influences mood and rhythm.
Materials affect how a space is experienced. Objects carry memory and identity. When these are aligned, a space becomes more than aesthetic — it becomes supportive.
This work sits both within and without. It is about the external environment, and the internal response to it.
The way a space can soothe, clarify, restore, or inspire — not through excess, but through intention.
The goal is not to impress.
It is to create spaces where people recognise themselves.
Where they can return, settle, and feel that they belong.
Decorating is not about filling a house — it is about giving meaning to the space you live in.
You can follow the trend, match the palette, choose what works on paper… and still feel like something is missing.
Because a house without identity becomes scenery, not refuge.
Every element carries weight. Light shapes your mood. Materials influence how you move.
Objects hold memory, whether you realise it or not.
If a space does not soothe you, inspire you, or reflect something real about you, then it is not working — even if it is beautiful.
In the end, it is not about impressing anyone.
It is about coming home and feeling like you belong there.
Biophilic living is not a style. It is a principle of alignment with life itself.
It recognises that we are not separate from nature, and that the spaces we inhabit should reflect the same patterns that regulate and sustain us.

In my work, biophilic principles are applied through both structure and feeling — shaping environments that regulate the nervous system, support clarity, and allow the body to settle.
The aim is not to create something that looks natural, but something that functions as part of a living system.

And how you are living is influenced by the space around you.

Delahrose Roobie Myer is an advisor, designer, and writer who specialises in guiding people and projects through periods of change and reinvention.

She brings together psychological insight, environmental design, and an acute sense of timing to help her clients navigate pivotal transitions. Her practice focuses on uncovering the structural patterns that shape decision-making, identity, and long-term direction, allowing change to unfold with purpose and stability.
With over two decades in interior and environmental design, Delahrose has contributed to residential, retail, and community projects worth more than $60 million. As the founder of Awaken Designs, she led the internationally recognised Sunrise at 1770 project, which earned First Runner-Up in the Environmental Category at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards.
Beyond her design accomplishments, she is the author of Fatima’s Alchemy, a narrative exploration of transformation and renewal. Her consultations draw on narrative frameworks, spatial coherence, and strategic perspective to guide clients through complex transitions with clarity and confidence.
