The FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards

In 2009, the Sunrise at 1770 project in Queensland, Australia, achieved a significant milestone by being recognised as the 1st Runner-Up in the Environmental Category of the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards. This prestigious international accolade, often called the “Oscars of real estate,” honours projects that exemplify excellence across various real estate disciplines, including architecture, design, environmental impact, and community benefits.

The FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards are renowned for their rigorous evaluation process. An international panel of top real estate professionals and experts assesses projects based on comprehensive criteria. To be considered for this award, a project typically must have already achieved national recognition, underscoring the exceptional quality and innovation required at every stage of development.

Sunrise at 1770’s recognition in 2009 highlights its commitment to environmental sustainability and excellence in design. This acknowledgment elevated the project’s status internationally and set a benchmark for future developments aiming to harmonise luxury living with ecological responsibility.

The Award That Still Stands - Never Surpassed even today in 2025! That says a lot- I know what I'm talking about! I've shown it, proven it, and it’s stood the test of time!

In 2009, under my vision and leadership as founder and owner, Awaken Designs partnered with Midell to achieve something extraordinary—the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Award, 1st Runner-Up in the Environmental Category for the Sunrise at 1770 project.

This isn’t just any award. Often called the “Oscars of real estate,” the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence is globally recognised as the highest honour in real estate development. It demands national excellence and international distinction — innovation, environmental responsibility, design mastery, and profound contribution to how we live and experience place.

To even be eligible, your project must first be one of the top-ranked in your own country. To then go on to stand among the world’s best, judged by an international panel of experts, is rare and hard-won.

Together, Awaken Designs and Midell achieved something that, to this day, has never been surpassed in Australia in this category.

This award marked a moment of global recognition — a celebration of the meticulous, visionary, and ethical design that has always been at the heart of my work.

It is not just a plaque or a title.

It symbolises the integrity, commitment, and creative excellence I bring to every project.

It stands as living proof that beauty, sustainability, and impact can harmonise — and when they do, they leave a legacy.

Delahrose Roobie Myer

Founder & Owner, Awaken Designs

Architect of Frequencies | Visionary Designer | Alchemist of Coherence

Internationally awarded and globally recognised, Delahrose Roobie Myer is one of Australia’s most distinguished design visionaries. As founder and owner of Awaken Designs, she led the Sunrise at 1770 project to achieve the prestigious FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Award (2009), 1st Runner-Up in the Environmental Category—a distinction often referred to as the “Oscars of real estate.”

This accolade, regarded worldwide as the highest honour in the property development sector, recognises architectural brilliance, environmental stewardship, innovation, and a profound contribution to the human experience of place. To date, no Australian project has surpassed this achievement in its category.

Delahrose’s mastery spans beyond design; she is a system architect of wellness, spatial coherence, and emotional resonance. With an intuitive command of sensory environments, human psychology, and subtle energy, she shapes spaces — and lives — into alignment, beauty, and meaning.

Her work is not only functional or aesthetic; it is transformational.

She is a rare alchemist of design and soul, crafting spaces that endure, elevate, and inspire.

For me, this award is a reminder:

You can change landscapes.

You can shift the field.

And when you create from the deepest alignment of vision and heart, the world takes notice — even years later.
